the other night i uttered a prayer of serenity.
i was seeking guidance from misgivings.
And though often i forget that he is beside me,
i again put my faith blindly into his hands.

today he granted my prayer
and held my hand as i walked through.
when he said no, it wasn’t a whisper
but a clear concise peace placed within my heart.

i cried with the little understanding we were given
yet i never asked why me or why now.
Long before, I had felt the grand scheme of his plan
and knew that the masterpiece had only yet begun.

“Ye child of little faith, walk through the water
you will not fail or drown nor stumble or fall.
look at me and run across this restless ocean
i am already waiting for you on the other shore.”
